Our niece, Kimberly
Stringfellow, returns home today after serving faithfully and effectively as a
Spanish-speaking Hermana at the Visitor Center and area near the Mesa Arizona
Temple in the Arizona Mesa Mission. What a beautiful testimony! She said,
"This next week is
my last week of full time missionary service.
I have seen miracle
after miracle throughout this time. I know that this is the Lord's church and
His work! He is central in this message, and in my life."
"When they built the
Visitors' Center and added the Cristus, the statue was so big that they had to
place Him on the ground, then build the center around Him. (That was the only
way to fit Him inside!!) In the same way, we must place Christ exactly in the
center of our lives, and build our lives around Him. The promise of peace,
safety, and direction is real when we follow His perfect example. I know
without a single doubt that He is my Savior and friend. He has the power to
forgive and cleanse. Because He has risen, overcame death, and was resurrected,
He lives today. So just as he healed the blind and deaf people in the Bible and
Book of Mormon records, He HEALS us today. He heals our hearts; His calling is
that of endless mercy and love."
"We must give up our secret battles, give up our
pride and sin, our weakness and flaws, surrender it all to Him. Then He will
make us greater than we could ever become by ourselves. He is the only way that
we can return home to our Father in Heaven. That's what our short time on Earth
is all about: receiving joy in following our perfect example, who is Christ."
"I
feel so blessed to have served Him as a full time missionary. I would love to
say a quick Hello to my family, then come immediately out for another 18 months
of service! Oh, how I would love that!!
I love living and breathing His name, and testifying of Him every day! I know
that my adventures ahead will help me to continue growing and progressing, as I
continue seeking and doing the Lord's will. I love Him and I love His Gospel!!
Always His missionary
and disciple,
Hermana Kimberly
Stringfellow"
"We did some
service to help set up the Easter Pageant stage! They do a huge magnificent
performance on the life of Christ (birth to resurrection) in front of the
Visitors' Center, every year before Easter. One of our jobs was to bring up the
trumpets to the top for the Angels to play!!"
Oh,
that I were an angel,
Oh,
that I were an angel,
and
could have the wish, the wish of my heart,
could
have the wish of my heart.
Oh,
that I were an angel,
Oh,
that I were an angel
and
could have the wish of my heart.
That
I might go forth and speak with a trump, the trump of God!
With
a voice, a voice to shake the earth!
Shake
the earth!
And
cry repentance,
repentance
unto every people,
to
every people,
to
every people.
Cry
repentance unto every people,
REPENTANCE.
Oh,
that I were an angel,
Oh,
that I were an angel
and
could have the wish of my heart,
could
have the wish of my heart.
Oh,
that I were an angel!
Oh,
That I Were An Angel
